Christopher Pixley:
I am 18 and a senior at Benson high school and my major is electric. I plan to pursue electrical engineering at Oregon
State University. I was introduced to FTC in my sophomore year at Benson by Jeff Mcbride and John Delacy.
My friends decided it would be nice to participate in this activity and I followed them into it.
Kyla Overbay:
I am 15 and a sophomore at Benson high school, in Health Occupations. Though I plan to pursue a health career I enjoy working in FTC.
I was introduced earlier this year in 2008 by my friend Nolan. I am interested in robotics because I have many friends in
robotics and I like to learn new things.
Jessica Anderson:
I'm 14!!! Woo! I'm a freshman at Benson High School, in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America). I plan to be a vet BUT I think FTC is awesome! This is my first year in robotics and I, personally, think it's great. I joined because Nolan said he needed help and Penelope said it was fun. Kyla also said it was fun, so I decided to join. I like robotics because I like to build, although programming is very confusing and not my type, and the kids in robotics are hilarious. I plan on using this experience to make a robot that will do my chores when I am older. Robotics is not well known at Benson by the students and I am glad to be a part of the team!!!!
Terry:
I am 17 years old and a junior at Benson High School and majoring in Computer Electronics Technology. I plan to pursue a career in computers. I was introduced to FTC my Freshman year at Benson by Jeff Mcbride and John Delacy, and a friend of mine told me about it and I thought it would be fun to do and that I would be able to drive a robot around. My experience with FTC was on Benson Team 267 and our robot Ankle Biter that was very successful with scoring the low goal of the last two years.
